Challenge: Showcasing the full range of entertainment options

With over 30 different tours, activities, and live shows on the property, this homestead attracts hundreds of visitors every week. The operator aims to boost sales and revenue by encouraging guests to book multiple activities during their visit. 

Previously, they needed to rely on suggested items to upsell their offerings. While the feature is suitable for recommending other activities after a booking is completed, it isn’t optimized for upselling during the checkout process. If customers were interested in purchasing additional tours or activities through suggested items, they had to restart the booking process — reselecting the availability, re-adding Customer Types, and refilling their details — before they could add the items to cart.

Additionally, customizing recommendations through suggested items also required creating and managing separate flows for each item which adds more complexity and manual work to the management process.

They also included a discount to the purchased combo add-on to encourage guests to make more bookings per order. 

Finally, creating and managing combos is simple and straightforward — select two items, create the combo, and apply a discount (when applicable). The management page is also user-friendly, enabling the operator to directly view the paired offerings next to the created combos.
